Abercrombie leads AU women to dominating win over Anderson

Quinasia Abercrombie totaled 26 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Augusta University women to a 91-69 victory over Anderson University in a non-conference basketball game on Dec. 31 at Christenberry Fieldhouse.

Abercrombie made 10-of-12 floor shots and also added four steals. She got plenty of help from Amari Jackson, who had 20 points. Jackson made 10 of 13 from the field.

Sierra Burns chipped in 13 for the Jaguars (7-4).

The Jaguars built a 44-34 halftime lead and never looked back.

Tatiana Brown led Anderson (1-11) with 18 points.

The Jaguars will play at Middle Georgia on Saturday, Jan. 3, at 1:30 p.m., followed by the AU men against the Knights at 3:30 in Peach Belt Conference action.
