Jaguar VB team sweeps Georgia College; Lander is next

Nikol Antova had nine kills, Andrea Rodriguez had five aces and Hunter MacFarland contributed 13 digs to lead the Augusta University volleyball team to a sweep of Georgia College and State University on Saturday, Sept. 19 , at Christenberry Fieldhouse.
Antova led an attack that produced 38 kills and hit at a .215 clip for the Jaguars (2-0, 4-8). Emma Haren added eight kills, and Essence Jones totaled six.
AU was much improved on serve with 13 aces and only five errors. Isis Barrett added three aces for the home team.
The Jaguars held the Bobcats (0-2, 3-13) to an .078 attack rate. GCSU had 20 kills.
Haren and Moni Anjous each had nine digs for AU.
The Jaguars will next host Lander University on Tuesday, Sept. 22, at 6 p.m. in another Peach Belt Conference match.
