Augusta University travelled to Statesboro, Ga March 13-15 to compete in the Schenkel Invitational hosted by Georgia Southern at Forest Heights Country Club.
The Schenkel Invitational is an annual tournament held in Statesboro and is a patron favorite.
All over the course were patrons, parents and hospitality members as well as other parties across different holes throughout the tournament.
The tournament also involves members of the Phi Mu sorority of Georgia Southern University to help host teams during the weekend.
Early in the morning of round one, Augusta led the way on the leaderboard but slowly fell short with a team score of two-over par and putting them to tie for 7th at the end of the round.
In round two, the pace picked up as Bo Blanchard, Stefan Jacobs and Pieter Rossouw brought low scores of 70 by Jacobs, 72 by Blanchard and 71 by Rossouw.
The team finished round two with one-under-par, but it wasn’t enough to keep the team from slipping down to 12th place.
Round three faced some dreary weather bringing challenges to the course and the Jaguars finished with four-over-par for the end of the round.
The men finished in 11th place at five-over-par.
Blanchard was the team leader with a scores of 69, 72 and 71 finishing in 15th with four-under-par individually.
The men will travel to Houston, Tx to compete in the Valspar Intercollegiate March 23-24.
