AU has ribbon cutting for new health center

Augusta University broke ground on a new student health center on Friday, Jan. 9, on the Health Sciences Campus.
President Russell T. Keen led the ceremony, which was also attended by Shelli Larkin, the director of AU Student Health Services, and her staff.
Keen and Larkin spoke at the ceremony.
Fourth-year medical student Avni Sawant was also introduced. Sawant has painted a mural to help students going to the health with the stress that often comes with going to see a health provider..
Shelli Larkin, director of AU Student Health Services, told the gathering: “We serve the students.
