TSS 6/41: Jaguar track-and-field teams prepare for PBC championship meet

Jacob Burgamy,  AU track and field coach, joins The Sports Squad to talk about the 2024 season, as the Jaguars prepare for the Peach Belt Conference championship meet in Daytona Beach, Fla., next week (April 29-30).  Emily McBride finished first in her heat in an NCAA provisional time in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the Georgia Tech Invitational. That shattered her own AU record by nearly 30 seconds. Avery Jaynes finished third in the 5,000 meters against a mostly Division I field. Host Patrick Motes and panelists Jaynes and Justin Gray will also talk about the AU men's golf team in  the Southland Conference golf championship, as well as some rules changes from the NCAA. The Sports Squad is a production of Bell Ringer-Phoenix Media. It is produced at the TVC Lab on the Summerville Campus of Augusta University. Jasmine Garcia is the producer. The opinions are those of the host and panelists, not Augusta University. Note: In the photo above, AU’s David Garcia runs a 3:58 in the 1,500 meters (photo by Brenna McBride, special to the Bell Ringer).  To play, click on the Start button below:—>
