TSS 8/42: Chris Rickerson gives the lowdown on Peach Jam 2026
On this edition of The Sports Squad, Augusta Good News sports writer Chris Rickerson breaks down the recently completed Peach Jam Elite Youth Basketball League tournament in North Augusta, S.C. It was won by the Florida Rebels, led by Cayden Daughtry, with a host of NCAA Division I coaches on hand. Also on this episode, Rickerson talks with guest host David Bulla about the World Cup, the Atlanta Braves and the British Open. Jasmine Garcia is the producer of The Sports Squad, and Ethan Balducci composed the theme music. Cayden Daughtry (3) of Calvary Christian Academy in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., led the Florida Rebels to the Peach Jam championship. Daughtry averaged 35 points per game in the tournament. At the top of the page, Marcus Curry, Daughtry’s teammate, turned in an impressive performance on the defensive end of the floor.
