The Augusta University women and men's tennis teams competed in the Coker Invitational in Hartsville, S.C., on Sept. 20 and 21.
“The tournament went great,” said AU Coach Michael McGrath. “We made it to in the finals of five draws.”
On the women’s side, No. 1 seed Andrea Gonzalez Sanchez of AU won her draw. The senior from Saltillo, Mexico, played three single matches and two doubles matches.
The official scores were not recorded for this tournament due to it being a preseason match. The official season does not start until the spring.
Right now both Jaguar teams are focusing on conditioning and practicing.
AU is playing in the ITA Regionals on Sept. 26-29 in Sumter, S.C.
