JagCon returns for its second year of fun

The return of JagCon, Augusta University's celebration of all things pop culture, creativity, and campus pride! From comics and anime to tabletops and cosplay, this event is hosting its 2nd year on Sept. 12th on the Summerville campus in both the JSAC and the Maxwell theater during 5pm-9pm.
Student Life and Engagement have put out a call on their instagram for both cosplayers and student creators/entrepreneurs with a link for both in their bio on instagram or can be found down below.
For cosplayers you have the chance to win a scholarship for the next semester and the student creators get the chance to showcase what they have to offer from art/crafts to fashion and products, the best part is you can sell to the crowds in the vendor alley. Set up for the vendors is an hour before the event at 4pm and lasts until 7pm.
Additionally to student vendors, they’ll also have local vendors, food, free boba tea for the first 100 students, panels for various subjects including a panel about an intro to cosplay, DJs, photo booths, miniature painting, and break rooms for if ever you need a place to take a break from the activities. Students will also be provided transportation by bus supplied completely by JagCon.
Additionally they will be giving away free shirts that match the theme of Hero’s vs. villains and there will be a signing opportunity with Augustus the school’s mascot. The game room will also be hosting Game Tournaments for students to participate in. Lastly, there will be 3 judges for the cosplay contest, these judges are a part of the staff of Augusta University and have an interest in all things pop culture.
