Jaguar Job Fair: A look in pictures

The Jaguar Job Fair took place Friday, March 22nd at the Christenberry Fieldhouse. The event was a success with 88 organizations attending and hundreds of students. The event also offered professional headshots for students and attendees to take, a fun picture opportunity and free 7Brew coffee.

Students attending the event walked around scouting for possible future employment and intern opportunities and to see what is available.

Matthew Moore, a junior studying cyber security, attended the event and explored the options for possible internships for this upcoming summer.

“I'm looking for any sort of cyber internship today just to gain experience in that field since it's so broad,” Moore said. “I've already been to the GBI table, the SRS table, the Corsica table and there's about 10 more companies I have written down that I'm going to go look at, and just anyone I stumble into along the way that looks interesting.”

Another junior, Lawton Hill, studying business and marketing attended the event because of some friends who were working at the job fair as vendors and Hill found interest and enjoyment during the event.

“I like Whole Property, but I've spoken with Aflac, said Hill. “I was in the NCSC competition with the Augusta University sales club and some of the same vendors at some of these larger companies were there, so it's been funny I've gotten to reconnect with some guys I met last week.”

“The event has been great, tons of people with job opportunities, tons of people with internships, a bunch of great smiling faces and everybody’s very professional asking for resumes and constantly giving out business cards,” said Hill.

Matt Brocato, AU Graduate School Student Recruitment Coordinator, was also at the event at the graduate school table.

“What we're doing here today is promoting all of the graduate programs that we offer here at Augusta University, especially to the undergrad students here,” said Brocato. “A lot of them don't know about all of our Graduate programs. So this is just an opportunity to showcase what programs that we do offer.”
