AU's Mohamed, Thomas finish 2025 season at cross-country nationals

KENOSHA, Wis.—Augusta University cross-country’s Nasrudin Mohamed finished 118th in the men’s race, and the Jaguars’ Madison Thomas finished 169th in the women’s race at the NCAA Division II Championships on Saturday, Nov. 22.
Mohamed, the junior from Grovetown High School, finished the 10,000-meter race in 31 minutes and 54.5 seconds at the Wayne E. Dannehl National Cross-Country Course.
Thomas, the senior from Evans High School, ran the 6,000-meter women’s race in 22:29.4.
Both runners had advanced to the nationals by finishing in the top 15 at the D2 Southeast Regionals on Nov. 8.
Southeast Regional champion Wingate took home the men’s title by 26 points over Adams State. Colorado School of Mines finished third.
On the women’s side, Grand Valley State easily won the championship, with Colorado School of Mines second and Wingate third.
Kidus Begashaw of Adams State won on the men’s side, while Tristian Spence, also of Adams State, was the women’s individual champion.
