Masters Expo set for Summeville, Health Sciences campuses

For the past decade, Augusta University has hosted an annual Masters Expo. This event is designed to help connect students and faculty with employment opportunities during Masters week.
The latest Masters Expo will be held Tuesday, Sept. 9, in the Jaguar Student Activities Center Breezeway on the Summerville camps from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. It will be held at the Health Sciences Building lobby on the Health Sciences campus on Wednesday, Sept. 10.
According to Career Services, the expo has become a cornerstone of the university’s recruitment cycle. Augusta University students get first access to highly sought after hospitality roles before positions open to the public or other colleges.
Masters week is huge for Augsta, so it is no wonder why each year the event draws an impressive crowd.
On average, about 400 students and faculty members attend the expo and they are able to meet directly with hiring managers and gain early access to the university’s application portal.
This year, the portal will open on Sept. 9. This is a head start for application and securing placements for Augusta University students.
More than 300 Augusta University students and faculty are hired annually through the help of the expo. A lot of attendees return year after year. If you count repeat hires, Career Services estimates the total number goes up to around 500 hires.
This week of employment is more than short-term employment. The experiences and connection carry long-term value.
“Students should explore this opportunity because it provides an incredible highlight on their resumes for future employers,” said Julie Goley of Career Services. “The professionalism and service this tournament provides is known worldwide, and we consistently hear of employers viewing this experience as a callout for excellence.”
Connections you can build will prove to be as valuable as the jobs themselves, helping students lay the foundation for their future careers.
The 2026 Masters will be played April 9-12. That will be during AU’s spring break.
