Rain or shine, Approach Shots is the place to be

Looking for something fun to do in Augusta?
Visit Approach Shots, where golf meets good times, rain or shine.
You can walk in, call or book online. The facility features nine simulator bays, including two multi-sport bays that go beyond golf. Guests can play basketball, soccer, footgolf, baseball, disc golf, and even virtual hunting and fishing.
Each simulator offers a realistic experience, allowing players to tee off on real courses from around the world—from local favorites to some of golf’s most famous venues.
If you get hungry or thirsty, there’s no need to leave. The venue also serves a full menu of food and drinks.
Approach Shots is open Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday through Sunday from 8 a.m. to midnight.
Rates are $40 per hour Monday through Thursday and $60 per hour Friday through Sunday.
“The two bays with the multi-sport games have been our most popular,” said co-owner Michael Parrish. “We’re working on adding more of those options to our simulator systems.”
Players are encouraged to bring their own clubs, but rental sets are available. Each simulator provides detailed swing analysis, including ball flight, distance, ball speed and more — perfect for players looking to improve their game.
For those who like friendly competition, Approach Shots hosts weekly events: Half-Price Mondays, Ladies Night Tuesdays with half-priced drinks, Long Drive Contest Wednesdays from 6 to 9 p.m. and Closest to the Pin Thursdays from 6 to 9 p.m.
The venue also holds special events, like its recent Ryder Cup watch party, which drew a crowd for food, drinks, and plenty of swings.
“We really want everyone to come in and leave wanting to come back and share their experience with others,” Parrish said.
With its mix of affordability, community, and entertainment, the three owners of Approach Shots may have hit the jackpot. While there are a few competitors in the Augusta area, few match its blend of price, variety, and atmosphere.
Approach Shots is located on 3626 Walton Way Extension in Augusta, Georgia.
