Augusta University’s Department of Communication and Office of Civic Engagement held the introductory event for The First Amendment Series.

The Netflix original “Citation” was released in October 31, 2020. The film features a young Nigerian girl named Moremi who is attending a university. The film, which is based on true events, has Moremi report Lucien N’ Dyarea, a popular professor in the university, who tried to rape her.
Students, professors and faculty are all in a similar situation and have all been thrust into having to learn and use technology that we weren’t familiar with prior to the onset of the pandemic. This means that professors are learning to teach in a new way, and many students are learning to learn in a new way.
Through the month of January, the Peach Belt Conference has suspended games because of positive coronavirus tests between programs; however, Augusta will be playing a conference matchup game against Francis Marion at Christenberry Fieldhouse at 5:30 p.m.
