New barbecue restaurant opens on Broad Street

Bradley’s BBQ in downtown Augusta is offering a new addition to the barbecue scene in the CSRA.
Located on 1209 Broad Street, Bradley’s recently opened its doors in the historical building where the Sunshine Bakery shut down six years ago. It gives Augusta University students coming back for fall classes another downtown dining option.
The restaurant was originally set to open in 2024. Unfortunately, those plans were delayed due to complications resulting from Hurricane Helene. After a lengthy wait, the establishment owned by Fat Man’s Hospitality Group, finally had its grand opening on July 17.
During the opening, the restaurant saw a long line of customers ready to eat.
At Bradley’s, customers and students alike can expect to be well fed with home-cooked, smoky, affordable meals. Individuals can choose from a range of plates with tantalizing barbecued meats (ribs, pulled pork, pulled chicken, brisket, smoked chicken and smoked wings) smothered with Bradley’s signature house rub to seasoned side dishes of mac and cheese, potato salad or collard greens. And all of Bradley’s meats are slow-smoked over white oak.
A plate is $15 and that includes two sides and a slice of bread. Bradley’s also serves hash.
If you are looking for sandwiches, Bradley’s has you covered.
On its menu, you’ll find tender pulled pork alongside brisket sandwiches. Both are served on a toasted bun with a pickle on the side.
Customers with a nagging sweet tooth are in for a real Southern treat. Bradley’s has many delectable desserts to choose from, including key lime pie, chocolate and peanut butter pie, banana pudding and dirt cups.
In addition to this, the restaurant includes a built-in bar serving beer, wine and liquor. However, if alcoholic beverages are not your cup of tea, Bradley’s offers a variety of non-alcoholic drinks, including Coke products, sweet tea and that Georgia staple, the Arnold Palmer.
The restaurant group prioritizes creating a cozy, nostalgia-filled, welcoming Southern experience.
